Plate

Plates are a set of items introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, primarily for use in changing Arceus's type and form to the corresponding type of plate, but will also increase the attack power of moves of the plate's type used by the Pokémon holding it. There is a plate available for every Pokémon type, and while there exists a '???' Arceus, there is no '???' plate to go with it, meaning there are 17 plates in total.
