The Super Mario Wiki is a collaborative knowledge-base about everything in the Mario universe. It is driven by a fan-based community, and runs on a wiki, meaning any registered user can edit and create articles. The articles are varying from things of games to items and characters. Anyone can sign-up and help edit articles but there is a one week waiting period before you are allowed to edit quite a few articles. This is to help prevent users from being vandals and writing down fanboy/fangirl related junk that doesn't fit. The creator of the site is retired apparently but there are sysops to help monitor and run the site keeping it up to standards.
