I see you're doing a good job with the episode synopses. If you haven't already noticed, I have listed the episodes with incomplete synopses [[User:UltimateSephiroth/Anime episodes with missing or partial synopses|here]], so I'd like of you could remove the episodes you write the synopses to from there. I can do it myself as well, but there's a chance that I miss a newly added synopsis. Thanks! :) <br> [[http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:UltimateSephiroth]]

Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, ShinjiLover!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • Read over the style primer before making your edits. It is a basic outline of Bulbapedia style. For a more in-depth set of rules, see the manual of style.
  • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
  • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
  • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:ShinjiLover/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
  • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
  • There are certain restrictions on the content and amount of userspace content a user is allowed. For details, see the Userspace policy
  • Unless prior permission is given, no user is permitted to edit another user's page. Furthermore, edits to other users' pages are permitted only if there are problems that spread to other parts of Bulbapedia, such as broken links that appear on the wanted pages, switching out duplicate images that appear on the Archives, etc.
  • Fan fictions, missions, riddles, games, and anything else deemed not suitable for the wiki will not be allowed. If you would like to add something, but do not know if it is acceptable, ask an administrator.
  • A list of administrators that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! ----PAK Man Talk 01:46, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Sho's Raichu

Sho is a character of the day. Bulbapedia does not allow Pokémon that belong to characters of the day to have their own article, as they are not notable. Now, you can mention Sho's Raichu on his page, but do not create an article about it. Don't feel bad about asking, because you're not the first one, and I'm sure you won't be the last. But Bulbapedia has certain guidelines as to who can and cannot have their own article. Sho is notable, his Raichu is not. --PAK Man Talk 03:56, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Tried to follow my blunder of an example, did you? Yeah, I thought Sho's Raichu was especially notable, being shown in imitation of a Gym Leader's Raichu, but it didn't go over well. --SharKing ((Talk to the King!)) 14:41, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Please

Slow down on editing the User: namespace. There are only three userspace edits allowed per day, and you have gone over the limit. Editing your userpage too much will lead to it being locked again. Instead of making multiple small edits, why not instead use the preview button (Alt + Shift + P) to check your edits before saving the page? Thank you. --Shiningpikablu252 04:51, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Use the Signature

Just a heads-up: The Admins are less likely to get on your nerves if you sign your talk page comments with 4 tildes, like this: ~~~~

This shows a signature saying "ShinjiLover," with the time and day the comment was posted.

Also, I'm pretty sure you want a more stylish signature. Mine and others are examples. Speaking of examples, --SharKing ((Talk to the King!))

If you want a signature like that, I think I can pitch. How's this?

ShinjiLover

To make it automatic, copy the wikicode onto the "Signature" option under "My Preferences" at the top-right of the page. Be sure to check the "Raw Signature" box. For God's sake, check the box! --SharKing ((Talk to the King!)) 14:14, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Link templates

Please remember to use link templates on articles, in accordance with Bulbapedia policy. If you wish to link to a certain character's Pokémon, but only show the species name, like you did on Reggie about his Staraptor. You can use {{TP|Reggie|Staraptor}} instead of [[Reggie's Staraptor|Staraptor]]. Have a great day! ^_^ - Kogoro | Talk to me - 07:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot today. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to only edit their pages three times a day, at most. Instead of making multiple edits, why not use the Preview button (Alt + Shift + P) located right next to the edit button to look at your page and see how it is coming? That way, your page can look great while staying within the required amount of edits. Just wait until tomorrow, k? Thanks! --RexRacer -talk 06:20, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, try to just stick to three edits per day on any page that starts with User:ShinjiLover. And when I say that, I mean like, total. So if you edited your User page twice and your Ryuku page once, that would be all of your alloted edits for the day. Make sense? Thanks, --RexRacer -talk 04:24, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Nice Fakémon.

I really like the descriptions of Ryuaku (リュアク) and Ryuku (リュウク). Have you looked at my Fakémon? --SharKing ((Talk to the King!)) 14:20, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Talk Page Comments

Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason, even in subpages. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased. That user ended up blocked and subsequently had every erased comment restored. --DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits)) 21:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

The Japanese Names

I know Japanese katakana letters, and I'm still studying hiragana. As for letter retrieval, I looked on several Pokémon pages and copy-pasted the appropriate kana.

Here's Ryumi's name: リュウミ

Glad I could be of help! --SharKing ((Talk to the King!)) 14:02, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Synopses

I see you're doing a good job with the episode synopses. If you haven't already noticed, I have listed the episodes with incomplete synopses here, so I'd like of you could remove the episodes you write the synopses to from there. I can do it myself as well, but there's a chance that I miss a newly added synopsis. Thanks! :)

Ah, no problem! =] I'll gladly take off the ones I do once I add them.

I'm really grateful that you are adding the synopses for different episodes, but could you please try to stay in the present tense? When you are always switching between tenses you end up creating a lot more work for other people. Something to keep in mind. Thanks. --RexRacer -talk 00:41, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
