A Mega Stone (Japanese: メガストーン Mega Stone) is a type of held item introduced in Pokémon X and Y. During battle, a Pokémon can activate its held Mega Stone in order to Mega Evolve if it is holding the correct Mega Stone and meets another currently unrevealed condition. It is still unknown if such condition just consists in owning the Mega Ring or if anything else is needed. Mega Stones only affect Pokémon during battles, and Pokémon will revert back to their basic form once the battle has ended.
