White Smoke (Japanese: しろいけむり White Smoke) is an ability introduced in Generation III that prevents ability reduction (see also Clear Body and Hyper Cutter). Only one Pokémon has this ability. From Pokémon Emerald onwards, outside of battle, if the Pokémon with White Smoke is leading the party, then White Smoke decreases the wild Pokémon encounter rate (see also Quick Feet and No Guard).
