Indigo Plateau (Japanese: セキエイこうげん Sekiei Kōgen) is the final goal for Pokémon Trainers competing in Kanto (and in the Pokémon games, Johto as well).
In the games, Indigo Plateau is located just north of Victory Road. It is a large building housing a Poké Mart, a Pokémon Center and five different battle arenas - an Ice field for Lorelei, a Rock field for Bruno, a simulated graveyard for Agatha, and a colosseum-style arena for Lance and for whoever the current Champion is. There is also the Hall of Fame, where Pokémon League Champions have themselves and their Pokémon registered.
Only a trainer with eight badges either from Kanto or Johto is admitted to the Pokémon League.
In the anime, Indigo Plateau is a small community. There are some seasonal shops and restaurants open for tourists and spectators, several different stadiums, and a village where competitors in the League tournament can stay. In addition, Indigo Plateau only handles League tournaments for Kanto. Johto finals are held at Mt. Silver.
