The Red Chain is an item created from the gems of Sinnoh's legendary trio: Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf. It is used by Cyrus to control Dialga and Palkia in order to complete his dream of creating a new world.
The item is unobtainable in the released version of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It was dummied out due to Dialga/Palkia instead awakening on their own, but can still be obtained by hacking.
