Cleaning up Skylands
There are still a few more things we need to do while in Skylands. Firstly, we need to rebuild the Pokémon Center, as we have done in every area. For this we need 25 Pokémetal, 25 glass, 25 concrete, and 25 gold ingots, so I hope you have been smashing up those garbage blocks, because you will need the ore. There is also a part of the volcanic mines that is full of gold ore. You can find it below the museum past a hidden room with waterfalls made of lava.
You will also need eight Pokémon including one with the Build skill, one with the Gather skill, and one with the Bulldoze skill in order to rebuild it. We recommend using Tinkmaster as your builder, as she takes significantly less time to build things. Without Tinkmaster you will need to wait until the next day for the building to be finished, but with her it will only take an hour to complete. Once it's finished unveil it to complete this important request: Rebuild the Pokémon Center.
Intermediate team initiation challenges
We are finally ready to tick off the three intermediate level initiation challenges. For the first we need 20 lumber, 5 fluff and 10 paper. Now that we have access to wastepaper and Pokémon with the Recycle skill, it should be very easy to tick this one off the list. If you are missing fluff, many Litter skill Pokémon drop it such as Swablu, Altaria, and Mareep. Hopefully, you recruited Swablu in Sparkling Skylands and have plenty of fluff to go around. Hand these over and you'll be given the Thunderish Badge.
Next up we need building materials, specifically 40 bricks, 20 gold ingots, and 50 concrete. This is a lot of gold back to back, but if you found the room inside the volcano then it should be easy enough to find and smelt the ore that you need. There is a high-powered smelting furnace near where we met Poliwrath and Alakazam. It might be worth moving to a more accessible place so that you can smelt ore more efficiently. Handing these in will reward you with the Rainbow-ish Badge.
Generating energy for the Soul-like Badge
For the final intermediate level challenge you need to generate 50 energy, gather 10 crystal fragments, and five Tinkagears. Crystal fragments are gathered from the blue crystals you can find inside of Rocky Ridges' volcano, but the energy is a little harder to generate. Firstly, you will need a few utility poles, and you will also need to buy building kits for a waterwheel and a furnace from the PC.
Break the Rock Smash blocks near the lighthouse to get the water flowing then start building a waterwheel inside the pool that flows out to the ocean. You will need a second set of builders working on a furnace that should also be as close to the lighthouse as possible to save on utility poles. Place the poles on the stones with the dimples provided, much like the ones we saw in Bleak Beach. Once the furnace is complete, fill it with burnable items and it should get you the energy you need.
Confirm that you have completed the request and talk to the team again. They will hand over the Soul-like Badge and turn on another light confirming that you have completed the intermediate section of the Team Initiation Challenge. For our next badge we will need four industrial beds, four resort lights, and four office desks, so keep this in mind for when we finish up this important request later.
