Leaked info

As described in the unreleased materials policy, information from leaked source code cannot be referenced on Bulbapedia. In the future, please do not add any information that ultimately came from those leaks (though disassemblies/decompilations are okay). --Abcboy (talk) 01:13, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Understood. Obviously under this policy I can see how official variable names would not be okay, and I did not intend to violate anything. That said, would the shiny value/encryption constant information be okay to document, assuming I remove all information that can only be known through the code? This was an independent concern I had, without initially looking at the source (however it was later corroborated with it). I'm concerned that now since I've seen it, that would disqualify me from providing input on this topic (like in clean room reverse engineering). Also, my reply to Rosenwaldt's discussion should also be removed. I was unable to do it myself. ElectricGeorge (talk) 02:04, 30 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
