In Beyond Chivalry... Aiming to be a Leek Master!, Gallade and Farfetch'd had an official rematch with each other. During the battle, Gallade initially had the upper hand and used Feint to cut the top of the leek that Farfetch'd held. However, Farfetch'd managed to overcome this by mimicking Wikstrom's Aegislash, using the cut-off part as a makeshift shield and the rest of the leek as a sword. Despite using this tactic, Gallade still held some advantage over it. However, this was quickly changed when Farfetch'd landed three critical hits on him with Fury Cutter and evolved into a Sirfetch'd. The damage that Sirfetch'd had dealt earlier was wearing Gallade down, forcing Rinto to let him trigger his Ability, Justified, and boost his attack power. Despite this, Sirfetch'd still managed to defeat the Blade Pokémon with a powerful Night Slash.
Personality and characteristics
From his debut, Gallade is shown to be a powerful and fast battler, dodging every attack that Farfetch'd threw at him and severely injuring it with one False Swipe. He also seems to express a desire to end his battles in a certain way, as shown when he was determined to knock Farfetch'd out with Close Combat. Gallade is shown to be completely synchronized with Rinto and as such, they are a very formidable duo.
