Drafts of proposed articles, trivia, etc.
Some of this is original research, some of this could enter mainspace, some of this could be a useful at-a-glance view for various site projects.
- PCG Hidden Power Table probably could not enter mainspace – I think some measure of original research could be done in reasonable bounds, particularly in the space of TCG-related articles, but I think people would get upset what they see as original research would not be allowed in other contexts. Unfortunate, but someone else can have that debate.
- TCG Artwork by GAME FREAK staff could enter mainspace, as there is little speculation involved – but it's hard to see on what page it fits in or why. It may work best as its own article.
- TCG Artwork by Creatures staff could never work in mainspace for myriad reasons, but it could be a good point of reference for improvement of the respective artist's articles.
- Shin-ichi Ishikawa and Kai Ishikawa is 100% speculative and would never be proposed for mainspace.
- Aspects of CR features have a shot at mainspace? Maybe?
PCG Hidden Power Table
Each Unown card in EX Unseen Forces has a Hidden Power attack with effects that differ from each other. The effects appear to borrow from attacks with names that share their first letter with the letter of the first Unown. Some attacks have some small variance in incidentals (e.g. Unown A's Hidden Power allows you to search for 2 Supporter cards, whereas Skyridge Lapras' Assist only allowed you to search for 1) but the overall function is retained – and for the most part, the function is indeed identical. For some moves, there is only ever a single instance of a Pokémon with the attack Hidden Power is "recalling" (e.g. ADV1 Nosepass' Repulsion), but in some cases (e.g. Nap) the move being recalled is one that had been recurring throughout the TCG – in those cases I've just "picked one" for the sake of it. Usually the most recent, but not necessarily.[1]

- ↑ I was going to edit this in as a bit of trivia on each Unown's page, but circumstances!
- ↑ Not necessarily reflective of attack cost. Editorialism on my part to convey that most cards are Psychic, but there's nothing to suggest they tried for anything particular with types.
- ↑ Effect is identical to Fade Out on Sabrina's Gastly. May be Obscuring Gas, as seen on Koga's Koffing, but the effect is not quite the same.
- ↑ May (also) be Tongue Stretch and/or Telekinesis.
- ↑ There is a question mark in the artwork. Effect is identical.
- ↑ Japanese name of the card had an exclamation point in it. Effect is similar.
TCG Artwork by GAME FREAK staff
- With the exception of a correction to an inconsistency on the site regarding Satoshi Ohta, this has been lifted straight from Game_Freak#Designers and so there should be no point of contention insofar as whether these are GAME FREAK staff or not. Rather, there is some inconsistency insofar as classifying the blocks – the English edition of the TCG never really sought to differentiate the ADV era from the PCG era, though EX e-TCG vs 'just' EX approximates it fairly well – and the inclusion of the e-Reader and Pokédex 3D pro as points of differentiation are effectively arbitrary.
- Due to personal bias, the table only goes up to a point where my interest in the franchise went uninterrupted – Generation 4. Work would need to be done to update the table to include Gen 5–8 and keep it up to date.

TCG Artwork by Creatures staff
..and/or people who might be Creatures staff.
- Visual benefit of chart undermined by how large this is.
- Need to more clearly delineate who is known to be CR staff, who is likely to be CR staff, and who is maybe CR staff. There are also some definitely nots to be eliminated.
- Need to x-ref for completeness, and x-ref against other staff PKMNWiki has identified as CR staff.
- "P3D" may need to be opened up to more broadly include other CR produced games such as the Ranger series, Poképark, et al.
- May need to add a Gen 5 column to make a point about how suddenly artists are no longer credited but instead folded back into "5ban graphics".
- This chart would be a start point to improve respective quality of author articles. No amount of finessing can fix how cumbersome it is and trying to make it fit in mainspace is a lost cause.
Again: this chart includes speculation!!!
- ↑ i.e. the Pokédex 3D.
- ↑ Includes cards where Imakuni is credited as "Imakuni?"
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 3.6 Includes credit for a Lucky Stadium print.
- ↑ Resigned from Creatures c.2002.
- ↑ 5.0 5.1 Takumi Akabane and Milky Isobe are credited for Ancient Mew (The Power of One promo) in the Japanese credits of M02.
- ↑ Occasionally Miiky Isobe.
- ↑ n.b. e-Reader credits do not specify if Isobe is Creatures staff.
- ↑ 8.0 8.1 8.2 8.3 8.4 8.5 8.6 8.7 Contributions to era include ADV ex1.
- ↑ 9.0 9.1 Co-credited with CR CG cards on some cards.
- ↑ 10.0 10.1 Shinichi Yoshikawa may be an alias of Kai Ishikawa (or vice versa). This is speculation that needs to be explained – unlikely to ever be fit for mainspace.
- ↑ 11.0 11.1 11.2 11.3 11.4 Credited with CR CG gangs on all cards.
- ↑ 12.0 12.1 12.2 Contributions to era include art for PCG Unown cards.
- ↑ Occasionally Kei Hoshiba, as per [1]
- ↑ 14.0 14.1 Unlike other Gym Leaders in Pokémon VS, Brock's artwork is not done by a single artist. Instead, K.Hoshiba does the artwork for Brock's Omastar, and Katsura Tabata does the artwork for Brock's Kabutops. This is not *entirely* unlike the situation with Rocket's Pokémon – while GAME FREAK's Hironobu Yoshida does the artwork for all Rocket's Pokémon in the set, the 3DCG artwork for the 2 Rocket's P Promos – Rocket's Scizor and Rocket's Sneasel – are again split between Hoshiba and Tabata.
- ↑ 15.0 15.1 15.2 Contribution to era includes one of Moltres ex, Articuno ex, or Zapdos ex. These 3 PLAY Promos appears to be a deliberate "Creatures trio".
- ↑ 16.0 16.1 16.2 It is hard to tell if K. Hoshiba contributed new art for the eras or if old artwork was being recycled. See [2] for a visual overview.
- ↑ Keita Komatsuya is credited as a graphic designer. c.f. Hiroaki Ato, Sachi Matoba.
- ↑ Unknown whether Creatures, Game Freak, or otherwise at time of contributions. Credited on several Creatures-developed projects years later. Recently credited as a member of TPC as per [3]
- ↑ 19.0 19.1 19.2 19.3 19.4 19.5 19.6 Contributions to era are only in ADV ex1.
- ↑ In a 2013 interview, Ujiie identified herself as a Director of Creatures.
- ↑ Credited with CR CG gangs and/or Benimaru Itoh on all cards.
- ↑ Co-credit with Ken Sugimori on No.1 Trainer. Ito would be responsible for the 3D graphics placed behind Sugimori stock art. [4]
- ↑ Credited in Pokémon Stadium 2, Pokémon Colosseum, et al.
- ↑ Incredibly likely to be Misaki Nakaoka, as credited on Pokédex 3D. I have carried this assumption out to its entirety in this chart.
- ↑ 25.0 25.1 25.2 25.3 Contribution to era includes one of Groudon ex, Kyogre ex, Tyranitar ex δ, Gardevoir ex δ . These cards are the 'main' cards of their respective theme decks, and the focus on Creatures staff as their artists appears to be deliberate.
- ↑ Credited in Pokémon Battle Revolution.
Shin-ichi Ishikawa and Kai Ishikawa
Both names can be read in a way that suggests that one name or the other – if not both – are aliases. This kind of double, if not triple meaning, is very common in the Japanese language, so this is highly speculative;
- Shin-ichi Ishikawa = "New One Ishikawa"
- Shin: New
- Ichi: One
- Kai Ishikawa = "New Edition Ishikawa"
- Kai: can be understood to mean 'revision'/'edit'/etc.
However, just because it's highly speculative doesn't mean I don't believe it can be true, I just don't expect to ever be able to prove it. I think this is the only case of a different artist being credited for myriad alternate prints in the e-Card era, and the Promotional versions of these cards are 3 of the 5 cards Kai Ishikawa was ever credited for.

CR features
All three legendary birds appearing as PLAY Promos in 2004 are illustrated by individuals who had either already been credited in video games Creatures was involved in developing, or would go on to be credited in video games Creatures was involved in developing.

The 'star cards' of the last four constructed theme decks of the PCG era are in a similar position. Some of these cards are the only time the artists are credited in the TCG, otherwise only appearing in credits of games associated with Creatures.
