Liko's Hatenna
Would Hatenna be considered walking Pokémon? It seems to be always outside of the Pokéball so far. --Nayfaan (talk)(contributions) 05:08, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- She has had it for approximately one episode. It's far too early to give it such a label. Ataro (talk) 09:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- So far it has been consistently outside the pokeball in Liko's hood. --Nayfaan (talk)(contributions) 04:28, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
Steven Stone as supporting cast
Steven is a recurring character throughout the anime. And even though his appearance is without dialogue, he plays an important role in the episode. Since he physically appeared in the episode, it's only fair that he's included here.
Steven has had 10 seconds of screentime, and only 6 in which his face is seen. He is never named during the scene and does not have any dialogue, and I do not believe that the appearance was vital to the episode (meaning that if Steven hadn't appeared and only been implied through dialogue, it would have worked just as well.) This doesn't qualify Steven for being "supporting" cast for the series and being linked from every character page.
As for the "Steven is a recurring character" claim: while Steven has had multiple appearances in the Ash era, that doesn't necessarily make him an recurring character in the Horizons era. Without getting into whether PtS and Horizons are set in the same continuity, Steven has not made multiple appearances and thus is not a recurring character during the Horizons era and hence should not be included in the template. → SuperPikaPool13 04:30, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- Since this is new territory, I'm not exactly sure how to proceed, but all the wikis that have gone through similar situations with other anime list the characters in all the series they appeared in.
- I already find it annoying that this list doesn't include the Gym Leaders of Paldea and the Elite Four (especially Rika, who had some development in the anime), because when I'm browsing a character's page from the anime, I have to go to the search section and not click on the character's name to get more information. This made sense in the Ash era, with multiple Elite Four members, but it doesn't anymore.
- I don't know what to add beyond what I've already pointed out, because assuming other old characters (like Ash) appear in a similar way, I think the same thing should be done. But I'll leave it to the more experienced admins to give their opinion. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 22:20, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
- I suppose one way to do it could be to split the large "Supporting Characters" sub-header into something like "Naranja Academy", "Allies", and "Other characters". → SuperPikaPool13 05:26, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
