TGC Card Database artist search

I was looking around on the Official Pokémon Website, and in the TGC section there is a database listing all the cards. I used the search by artist option and found that he illustrated these cards. I'm not sure what aspects of the cards he is being credited for, but most of the images listed there use official artwork from Pokémon Black/White, Black 2/White 2 and X/Y. If it can be confirmed that he drew the official art (which I think I have heard somewhere before, actually) then maybe he should be credited as the artist like Ken Sugimori is under the character's image in their infobox. I am not saying this is concrete evidence, but it could be something to look into. evacino (talk) 23:21, 23 September 2014 (BST)

He is referenced on the pages of all the TCG cards his art has been used (23), all of which can be found in this category. --Spriteit (talk) 06:01, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thanks for linking me the category page! I actually made a mistake in my first post; underneath the character's infoboxes (on their personal page) it does not display the artist of the image like I originally said. I believe at one point it did credit them there (at least for the Pokémon species) but this has been changed. But the main reason for my initial point is that Ken Sugimori used to draw all the final designs, person or pokémon. I could be wrong about this, but I am sure I have heard something along those lines a few times before (supported by the fact that Ken drew a lot of the human characters in the Ruby/Sapphire TGC). While I cannot speak for Pokémon X/Y, in Pokémon Black and White (which is fairly recent) even though he did not design all the Pokémon, he always drew the final designs. In the TGC, official game artwork for the Unova starters were directly pasted as the artwork for some of the cards in the Black and White sets, with Ken being credited as such. What I am saying is that I don't think Ken draws all the human characters anymore, with Yusuke doing some of them if his credits on the TGC are correct. Like I said, I am not sure which is why I am posting it here to find out, but if this is the case then information can be added on to Yusuke's page detailing that since Pokémon Black/White he has helped draw some of the official artwork for the main series games, or something along those lines. Likewise, Ken Sugimori's article can be updated as well. On Ken's page, there are separate sections for his TGC and Game credits. So if this ends up being true, then it can be organized in a similar way.
Edit- I have looked into it a bit more and I am sure that both Ken and Yusuke do the art for the humans at least. For example, The Black/White image of N is drawn by Ken, while the Black 2/White 2 one is done by Yusuke. So I am sure this proves that he does help with the official art in some form. evacino (talk) 13:29, 24 September 2014 (BST)

Tynamo line reference link

Posting this here for posterity/archiving purposes.

So a week ago on Feb 4, i changed the reference link on the Nintendo Dream interview about the Tynamo line's design from the Wayback Machine Japanese text copied directly from the Nintendo Dream magazine, to the Dr. Lava translation, because at the time when i opened the Wayback Machine link it didn't work on my end. However, it turns out the link still does work (it was my internet or something), so i didn't really know whether to replace the Wayback Machine link back or keep the Dr. Lava translation. Ultimately i decided to go with the Dr. Lava translation for accessibility sake (better layout on the site, proper translation as far as i'm concerned). So uh yeah. Anyone is free to change it back if they feel like it, though. Anzasquiddles (talk) 07:38, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
