Bulk Up?

The Major Events state that Hawlucha is revealed to know Bulk Up, however there are some inconsistencies. Firstly, I don't hear anyone in the episode say 'Birudo Appu', Hawlucha just seems to heat up on his own, instead Ash just orders Hawlucha to block Weavile's attacks. Secondly, we see Hawlucha use High Jump Kick and X-Scissor against Bisharp, meaning that 5 Moves have been used if this is indeed Bulk Up - true, Hawlucha could've just learned it and replaced it with Karate Chop, but by the look on Ash and Hawlucha's face before it happened it seemed rather planned, and thirdly, Hawlucha doesn't actually 'Bulk Up' he heats up in a red aura throughout the rest of the battle. The question basically is, what proof do we have it's Bulk Up? Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 13:58, 11 August 2016

Hawlucha was paralyzed and the logical reason why it glowed red was so it could use it's main ability limber, this allows it to cure itself from paralysis when it encounters it in battle. Does this sound like a logical explanation? Pokemon in the anime only use whatever moves they want when there is no trainer in the vicinity to command them, or worst case scenario the pokemon will not listen to the trainer, remember when Ash commanded charizard to attack and he comically burnt Ash to a crisp by using flamethrower on him, or what about when pikachu was supposed to help ash catch a pidgey and it ignored Ash before finally attacking him, well the pidgey got too confused and bored and flew away which pissed Ash off a bit. Besides it can't be bulk up because there was no noticable increase in Hawlucha's stats. Hope this answers your question.- unsigned comment from Youngsterjoey27 (talkcontribs)

Im reading the sub titles it said Ash Hawlucha is taking attacks and he getting stronger so is that bulk up or something else it weird? - unsigned comment from AlainMegaMaster (talkcontribs)

No, it wasn't Bulk Up, it was just a stylist choice, that was showing the fact that Hawlucha could take multiple hits. Playerking95 (talk) 08:23, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
@Youngsterjoey27 Weavile doesn't have a Paralyzing attack, Bisharp however did Paralyze him afterwards. Ash was in vicinity and didn't command anything but blocking, but before the Ice Beam smirked as if he knew what was gonna happen. I also didn't think it was Bulk Up, during the time I wrote this the article said that Hawlucha learned Bulk Up (as I wrote on the first line). Doesn't answer the question, why did Hawlucha look like he went Gear Second? Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 12:22, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Voices not heard

Okay, so I think this error is one that certainly needs to be addressed as to whether or not it is an error or not. I've watched two different versions of this episode, both of which have an error in them. One version I watched had the moment where Ash and Alain command Talonflame and Unfezant to use Steel Wing, but only Alain is heard (I remember putting that as an error, but removed it soon after, which brings me to my second). The second version I watched had Ash's voice in it as well as Alain's, but when it got to the Pikachu vs Metagross battle, it was Alain's Metagross who wasn't heard in the battle, having literally all the times its mouth moved, its voice wasn't heard. I thought I would ask whether or not it's an error, or just a fault with certain videos people uploaded before putting the Metagross error as an error. Thanks.
