Ball Formula Not Always Working

Presently in my game the WT at East Lake Axewell is offering TRs 49,73,91,16,45 but the Pokéball offered is 7 (Heal Ball) not 4 (Timer Ball) as the description on this page suggests. The other WTs are consistent with the modified rule: "(the first TR whose number is less than X) modulo 9", where X is hopefully a constant and would be less than 50 and greater than 42. I will collect more data on subsequent days. Mrob27 (talk) 06:46, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for bringing this up. The data I have indeed shows that it's only consistent until TR46 (Dive Ball), then goes TR47 Repeat Ball, TR48 Quick Ball, TR49 Heal Ball. I'm afraid that's just an exception to the rule, not another rule. I've modified the article accordingly; if you find anything that is incorrect or can be done better, please feel free to do so. Thanks for doing the research. There is nothing else I see that needs revision. I double-checked every TR and the balls whilst creating my online Watt Trader lookup page (which I am not trying to advertise; the blocking policy is overly vague but I believe all links are prohibited). For some reason the page was looking out of place when I tried to edit this in, even duplicating the shop rows. I just noticed the Watt Trader has the highlight item. We should include it. Cloud9Skywalker (talk) 02:46, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you figured it out? Landfish7 13:31, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
I did, I had edit source instead of just edit. Cloud9Skywalker (talk) 23:48, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ah that explains it. Landfish7 00:27, 17 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
