The announcement of Iwata's death was made on July 13th in Japan, not the 12th. --HoennMaster 03:08, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

The source for the report should also be added to the article. SatoMew2 (talk) 18:06, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Interesting News

I have been paying attention to Nintendo's stock prices in Japan given the announcement of Iwata's death. An early article notes that Nintendo stocks dropped on the news, while a current look at the stock itself shows a decline; it opened at 20,110¥ and is now sitting at 19,750¥, which is still up from the prior close of 19,515¥. The drop in stock value is reported to be on the news of Iwata's death, so this might be of note here. It might be interesting to watch for other financial news articles on the subject over the week and to see how Nintendo's NASDAQ stock reacts. CycloneGU (talk) 03:52, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

I noticed that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is missing from the list of credits. I checked them and he is indeed credited as the executive producer. I do not have permission to edit this page, so could someone please add this? Zichqec (talk) 01:08, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Position at Nintendo

According to Nintendo's press release, he was appointed as director (not president) in June 2000, being promoted to president and Representative Director in May 2002. SatoMew2 (talk) 17:03, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
