Talk:Rising Volt Tacklers
Untitled discussion
Why give the Volt Tacklers the villainous team infobox? Calling every adult on the ship an "admin" is a real stretch. - unsigned comment from S00perfreaks (talk • contribs)
- Because this is the only infobox for Teams that Bulbapedia have. I believe that at the time it was made (the infobox) there were few examples of heroic teams in the franchise.--Hikaru Wazana (talk)
Mega Voltage Arc
On HZ091, Roy stated that the Rising Volt Tacklers disbanded aftter the events at Laqua. So, on the "Team Roster" section, rather than structuring the members as Roy's Rooster and Friede's Rooster, I believe it could make more sense if we redo it as follows:
Actual Members:
Roy-The Commander, Cap, Liko, Dot
Former Members:
Orla, Ludlow, Mollie, Murdock, Sohdayo
And maybe we can place Friede either in the Former Members section or under "Status unknown" or something similar. Rioxイブイ 21:49, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
Origin of members's names
I previously wrote the origins of the members’ names (orla, Murdock, mollie and ladlow) but they were rejected because they were not related to the characters, so I searched for related origins and after a lot of searching... I did not find anything but in order not to feel that I literally wasted my time, I will write more about the characters, even if just a little. Maybe someone might find some other originals. - First:Ludlow(Randou)
- The common origin:
- Ludlow:The name Ludlow originates from English and derives from the combination of two elements: 'Lud', which means loud or noisy, and 'low', which means hill. Thus, Ludlow can be interpreted as from the "loud river hill".(source:ancestry)
- Randou:(based on Japanese names info) from:ランド which means:land
- in kanji It might be:
- 1-嵐堂 (maybe it's wrong)
- 嵐:means: storm, tempest, gale
- 堂:means: hall, temple, shrine
- 2-嵐道 (maybe it's wrong)
- 嵐:means: storm, tempest, gale
- 道:means: road, path, way
- 3-蘭堂
- 蘭:means: orchid, holland, blue
- 堂:means: hall, temple, shrine
- The most popular (and accuracy) is: orchid hall
- So you could say that the name from orchid plant
- And none of this related to Ludlow (for me).
- even orchid plant's Symbolism is:(love, luxury, beauty, strength, and refinement.) And I don't think that related to Ludlow.
- Other origin (that maybe related to ludlow):
- 1- Ludicolo (Japanese:Ranpappa)
- English name:Ludlow is similar to Ludicolo because of the (Lud) at the beginning of the name.
- what made me say that Ludlow's name similar to Ludicolo is not only because of the English name but also because the Japanese name.
- Japanese name:Randou is similar to Ludicolo's Japanese name(Runpappa) because of (Ran) and (Run).
- The problem is in Japanese language:As for Japanese language Randou is ランドウ and Runpappa is ルンパッパ which not similar.
- the similarities between Ludlow and Ludicolo:well... Ludlow is fisherman and Ludicolo is water type?
- 2-maybe it's from the (Rando) that is sometimes used in slang as a derogatory term for a random person (or unknown and unique person) and that references to Ludlow (i think) Madytu (talk) 09:27, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
Is Perrin a member of the RVT?
In hz131 Wy-Yes rejoins the group and since Perrin is accompanioning him is she a member or at least a psuedo member? - unsigned comment from Gboy10 (talk • contribs)
- As of HZ131 we can't say that she is as there's no confirming dialogue. I think her current place as an 'ally', alongside characters such as Nemona and Penny, is all we can say until anything further is confirmed by the show Thespeon (talk) 23:59, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Pokémon listing
Do all of the Rising Volt Tacklers crew's Pokémon really need to be listed on the page? I think this is somewhat of a problem, leading to the page becoming larger than it needs to be and repeating information that is much more detailed in the individual members' page. This also happens in the Explorers page, and I feel is worse there, but not, say, in the Ultra Guardians page. To be clear, I'm not referring to the wild Pokémon, just the owned Pokémon. I think just adding a line like "For information regarding Pokémon owned by the Rising Volt Tacklers crew, please refer to each of the individual members' page." would be better. - I personally agree, both on this page and on the Explorers' page, there's no need to list each team member's Pokémon. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 03:56, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
