In light of the Pokemon Picross 3DS game being released next month, should we move this page to something to the tune of "Pokémon Picross (1999)" or "Pokémon Picross (unreleased)"? Or should we feature both games on the same page and treat the game like it was in development hell for 17 years? 梅子❀✿01:28, 13 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think that it should either go to "Pokémon Picross (unreleased)", similar to unaired episodes, or "Pokémon Picross (Game Boy)". The new one could take over "Pokémon Picross", or go to "Pokémon Picross (3DS)", while this page becomes a disambiguation. If the former is done, we should probably add a "Pokémon Picross (disambiguation)". Bigpboy (talk) 02:43, 13 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
I agree that a page move is necessary, but we should get a replacement page ready for the new game before we move it. Once the replacement is ready, someone with moving privileges can handle moving both pages at once. It also serves to keep it in userspace until it's sufficiently ready for mainspace. Additionally, since the other title is relatively unknown, I think the new title should take over this actual page, and a disambituation link appear at the top of the page; there's no need to disambiguate it otherwise.
Abcboy has already prepared a page (but has not put it on Bulbapedia yet). I think we should move the page to "Pokémon Picross (Game Boy Color)", and make this page the 3DS game. --SnorlaxMonster04:18, 13 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Just checked Abcboy's contributions and he has not created a page. Use mine for the time being, again since we only need one. Feel free to edit it as if it were mainspace. CycloneGU (talk) 04:50, 13 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I don't see any good reason to use shorthand (i.e. "GBC" instead of "Game Boy Color") in this page's title. "Game Boy Color" is not an excessively long dabtag. This is not like the Nintendo DS where the system's official name includes an initialism. --SnorlaxMonster14:58, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
"A picross, from picture and crossword, is a genre of puzzle games, also known as a nonogram." Please change this sentence.

For some reasons, this page is protected, which means I cannot edit this sentence myself. For context, "Picross" is the name of Nintendo's nonogram video game series exclusively, and is trademarked by them. It is not a synonym to the word "nonogram". I would like this sentence to be changed to something else, maybe something similar to the recent edit I did for the Pokémon Picross 3DS page (see here). Alternatively, the page's protection could also be removed to allow regular editors to edit the page, so I could edit it myself. Thank you for your time, and I hope that this error can be fixed soon! To clear up some confusion regarding the protection: The protection was set to "block new users" in 2020, as the game's ROM had just been discovered, and Bulbapedia policy at the time restricted coverage of it. The policy was later changed in 2022, and coverage of this game was therefore expanded, but we forgot to lift the protection. You were able to get through today because you've become "autoconfirmed" (have an account for X amount of time, and make Y amount of edits), and therefore are no longer considered a "new user" by the system.
That said, I've gone ahead and lifted the protection now anyway, as the original reason for adding it is no longer valid. This should make it easier for regular users to contribute to the page. Thank you for the (indirect) reminder, and happy editing! --Boblers (talk) 19:55, 15 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
