Sub-pages

As a note to myself/whoever takes up maintaining this page later on, it might be best to split this into sub pages at some point, similarly to how Wild Area News used to have all events on a single page, but was split into Wild Area News/2019, Wild Area News/2020, Wild Area News/2021, and Wild Area News/2022 to clean things up a bit.
Given the much higher frequency of events in Scarlet and Violet compared to Sword and Shield, the page will probably be absolutely massive by mid-2023, so it might be best to only have the current year displayed on the main "Poké Portal News" page, and split previous years into their own sub-pages.
Events that have a "start date in a previous year, but end date in the current year" should probably still stay in the previous year's sub-page in my opinion, as that's how Wild Area News handled them. Atrius97 (talk) 07:57, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

I've done the first split for Poké Portal News/2022, but on another note, an additional split to "put all the 7★ events that use the G9event template on a single page with redirects on the others" might also be something to consider in the future, because that would cut down the Poke Portal News page size considerably. A "List of "the Unrivaled" 7★ events" without all the filler events in-between seems like a decent idea for an event list page, in my opinion. Atrius97 (talk) 05:47, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

They're also doing Mass Outbreak events alongside raid events now, so if any of these pages start to get excessively large, it may be best to revisit the templates and information and cut out any excess, and/or stop using the Gen 9 event Pokémon template and update Template:TeraRaidInfo to include fields that are relevant for 7 Star bosses (Marks, held items, Shiny-locks, Scale-locks, etc.) considering they're handled similarly to Event Pokémon (one-time capture per savefile, unique traits, etc.), and split the pages further by Tera Raid Events and Mass Outbreak Events. Maybe a template for unique details of Mass Outbreak events as well? It seems likely they'll all have unique traits given how many custom fields exist in the event outbreak data.
