Nintendo Classics
The "Nintendo Switch Online" emulator apps are being renamed by Nintendo to "Nintendo Classics" so that should get its own page like Virtual Console. Pikcahu (talk) 11:34, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- I agree. And it should be linked on this page similar to the Nintendo Music page. Torpoleon (talk) 23:39, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- I think that's a fair suggestion. Changing their names to 'Nintendo Classics' certainly sets them out as something that's just one part of Nintendo Switch Online, much like Nintendo Music is. It'd also allow for expansion of topics such as differences from the original games, trivia items, things like that. (It may also be worth noting that, at the time of writing, only the N64 and GameCube apps have had their names and icons updated; the rest will likely follow once they receive their next update, whenever those may be.) - To be fair, we did see in one of the Switch 2 trailers that there is an icon for the other systems rebranded as Nintendo Classics, so it does exist. I'd imagine they haven't been rebranded on the systems themselves because there haven't been any new games added or updates to the apps yet. When either of those happen is likely when we will see the change on the system. N64 got the update for new features. Torpoleon (talk) 01:58, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
