Trivia?

The move info lies, I used Metal Burst with a Dialga on a Dragonite after it used Outrage. Outrage took Dialga down from 154 to 32, so I guessed I should of hit 183. But I took off less then 30% HP? What gives? Miscs 14:51, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Dragonite had a lot of HP. --SnorlaxMonster 15:09, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Funny. It was Lance's. That doesn't have alot of HP if I use any other move. Miscs 15:22, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Also, was the attack a critical hit? If so, then this move may not take that into account. --SnorlaxMonster 15:37, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Nope, normal hit. I'll challenge him again to see if the same happens Miscs 15:52, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Power

Why does power of Metal Burst (and Bide) is always presented as "various" while Counter and Mirror Coat which work similarly are "—"?--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 17:18, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

It should be presented with the mdash (—) I believe is what we decided on, as this is how it is depicted in the games however I'd have to check and confirm. --Spriteit (talk) 07:27, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
I actually thought using in-game depiction is what we've been doing for a long time (it's what list of moves etc. use, and also Eruption and Stored Power), so yes we definitely should change that here. Metal Burst doesn't use "power" anyway, so it's also misleading. Nescientist (talk) 12:18, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yup, definitely the mdash, there are over 750 pages that use the word varies though on Bulbapedia. --Spriteit (talk) 03:23, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
There are 23 pages that use it in the move infobox (excluding Z-Moves), some of them as misleading. I'm going to manually change them later today. Nescientist (talk) 08:57, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Done. Nescientist (talk) 12:35, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
