Possible Design Origin

I'm calling it: this Poison-type user who impedes the protagonist's progress is loosely based on Jessie (personality) and James (design) from the anime. The game doesn't have the Ekans, Koffing or even Meowth lines (he uses another Normal-type cat's version counterpart as his ace, though that might be a stretch), but I like the irony of him being a huge fan of an overpowered Electric type. You're not the only person who has compared this character to the likes of James. However, I do think we'd need a high degree of evidence before we could really make that connection in the article itself. As it stands, the connections seem tenuous at best. Landfish7 15:48, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
