Fishing

Fishing has game use water platform, instead of whatever the environment uses (for example, fishing on Route 106 vs. fighting the Fisherman on that Route). No idea if it otehrwise affects the environment flags in any way. Eridanus (talk) 19:34, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

In Gen VI, platform is irrelevant, only the background matters. In Gen VII, it's the opposite, although the "platform" tends to be much larger, being most of the ground in the area and often including some foreground objects. For example, in ORAS if you put a grass tile in your Secret Base next to your avatar, a grass platform will be used in-battle, but all environmental effects are that of a building. This is probably due to the fact that Horde Encounters in Gen VI don't use platforms at all. --SnorlaxMonster 02:17, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
