Pikachu rarity incorrect.

Pikachu's rarity being very rare is completely false. I can't tell you how many times I tripped over these guys on route 3. If anything, they're common as heck. At night anyway. Pyrix (talk) 06:26, 1 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

According to the official Pokemon X and Y guidebook, it shows Pikachu as a black triangle, which is Very Rare, unless it's a typo in the book. Got any proof that this is Common?--The CHOsen One (talk) 22:02, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
That comment is very old. Old comments are usually best left alone (this is encapsulated in site policy). If that user hasn't pressed the issue, there's not really a good reason to respond to this at this point (especially with a question; odds are this user is long gone). The long and short of it is, anecdotes can be very unreliable. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:40, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I've encountered something strange while trying to do prof oak's challenge. I was looking for a male burmy when my fenniken's pp got low so i swapped my first pokemon party member to pikachu. After that the next 7 wild pokemon I've encountered were nothing else but pikachu. Finally ran into a fletchling after that. Possibly super rare rolls but after running around for 80 other encounters and only hitting a pikachu once, I felt I should mention maybe it's not a static percent encounter rate and there are other factors. - unsigned comment from Th3w1zard1 (talkcontribs)
I think the people who wrote here, except me, just ran out of luck before finding a Pikachu here, as the probabilities are taken from the game's datamine. --C.Ezra.Mrozmowa · sprawozdanie 22:11, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Just to demystify the situation: This is why Pikachu will spawn so often here if you have another Pikachu in the front of your party. Kai * the Arc Toraph 14:37, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
