Talk:Hey You, Pikachu!
Popcorn
If I remember correctly, in the game, when Pikachu uses an electric move on corn, it turns into popcorn. Should this be noted? Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 13:57, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Deletion
Recently, one of my edits was deleted by a contributor. The edit was "Hey You, Pikachu! may be the sequel to Pokémon Yellow, as in both games a Pikachu was the player's partner." I have brought this up so I can settle this with the person who deleted my edit. (Charizard101 23:35, 11 February 2012 (UTC))
- How is it even possibly a sequel to Pokemon Yellow? Unless there is valid evidence of it, please don't add it back. Frozen Fennec 23:39, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Well, there isn't valid evidence that states that PokePark and PokePark: Wonders Beyond are sequels to this game either. (Charizard101 00:13, 12 February 2012 (UTC))
- The trivia section never says they are true sequels but possible indirect sequels due to similar styles of game play. Frozen Fennec 00:24, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Yes, so why can't there be a chance that Pokemon Yellow is an indirect sequel to Hey You, Pikachu? (Charizard101 00:36, 12 February 2012 (UTC))
- There is a very, very large difference in style of gameplay between the handheld RPG and the 3D sandbox styled games. Frozen Fennec 00:37, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- It's not that the PokéPark games are sequels. It's that they, along with Channel and Hey You, are part of a series of Pikachu-themed spin-off games. But the only ones with any real chronological relation are the PokéPark games. Yellow Version, however, is not a spin-off, and is a part of the main series. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 02:17, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Gallery, please.
This page should get a gallery, or at least more pics. I seriously think that this wiki needs galleries in the same fashion as SuperMarioWiki.Jdrawer 02:35, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
"Electric rat"
The trivia section notes that while saying "Sony" or "PlayStation" won't make Pikachu mad, saying "electric rat" will. How exactly did we confirm that? Given the poor quality of the voice recognition software of the time, someone saying "electric rat" and Pikachu getting mad could just as easily have been a misconception as "Sony" and "PlayStation" causing it to get mad. --SnorlaxMonster 03:26, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
Pokemon & item list
I started compiling this list while watching Youtube playthroughs, and later figured out how to decompile the game with Ghidra, which filled in some gaps I was missing. The item list is preobably long enough to split off to a new page, but I will let somebody more important decide that. Some of these descriptions may be inaccessible in game, and some of the items are actually "environment items" rather than true "inventory items", but this info doesn't exist anywhere online, so I just wanted to be as thorough as possible. The game holds the species names for every Pokemon in the game, but the ones that don't have full description check are never able to be checked in game. If you were somehow able to force the PokeHelper to check them, then I'm assuming it would show the species and nothing else. The cookable dishes are never actually able to be examined, but still have text. The same thing is true with The Ending Book, which never appears as a physical item. There's a few items that I have never seen in multiple playthroughs, like the generic Leaf, and the Ruby Ring. I can also find no references to the Ruby Ring on any online text guide or website, that don't have to do with the list of voice commands extracted from the VRU. This makes me wonder if it is either a super rare item, or if it is inaccesible in the final game. I also have no idea what or where the Board is, and the description makes it seem like it could be in the cut Entryway area mentioned on TCRF, but I don't think it is. TCRF also states that you can tell Pikachu to give you specific items while in the Entryway. If anyone has access to this game with a Gameshark to get to the Entryway, then I would like to request that you ask Pikachu for a Ruby Ring, and maybe some of the other things I've mentioned just for fun.
