Name origin

Just so I don't end up jumping the gun here, does anybody else think its name could be referencing either askew or eschew given that thing's entire schtick is trying to hide its true face for more reasons than one? The pronunciation sounds somewhat similar to either word. Plus, I would rather this wasn't just another instance of the developers being lazy with names. --Steev (talk) 22:27, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Actually I'm going to say neither are particularly likely. The spelling is just too different and it's sort of a vague connection. Landfish7 23:21, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
