Immunity/Self-Poison?

Since the ability allows a Pokémon to poison opposing Pokémon despite its typing, does this ability also allow Pokémon to poison Pokémon with abilities like Immunity? Also, if a poisoned status condition was bounced back at the Pokémon with Corrosion (via Magic Bounce), will the Pokémon poison itself due to Corrosion? Both of these are already mentioned in the article.
It does not allow the Pokémon with this Ability to poison a Pokémon with Immunity.
If the Pokémon with this Ability uses a move, and that move gets reflected by the target due to Magic Coat or Magic Bounce, the reflected move will not be able to poison Steel- or Poison-type Pokémon. --SnorlaxMonster 17:57, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. Didn't notice it all until after I read the article. Bulldogs1234869 (talk) 18:21, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Poison Powder

Is it known whether a Pokémon with Corrosion can poison a Grass-type with Poison Powder? -- EnosShayremtalk 19:58, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Abilities with negative effects?

Why is this in the category "abilities with negative effects"? What is the negative effect? --Xigzagoon (talk) 21:49, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Corrosion works on the user itself with Toxic Orb, providing no benefit unlike Guts or Poison Heal. Eridanus (talk) 23:20, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Corrosion potentially allows the user to poison targets in a semi-invulnerable phase of Fly, Dig, etc.

I have recently been playing Sun, and used a Krokorok against a Salandit. The Krokorok used Dig on the first turn, and during the turn Salandit used Toxic on it and it hit, poisoning the Krokorok. I'd like to see more people playtest this to see if this is actually the case before posting it on the page. ScraftyIsTheBest (talk) 01:07, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Corrosion + GMax Stun Shock

I did some testing for this in double battles with interesting results. Skill Swapping Corrosion to Toxtricity, Stun Shock vs Salazzle or Aegislash with an Aromatisse to clear status effects with Aromatherapy. I got 400 total Stun Shock procs and listing the results like "Paralysis/Poison", Salazzle got 53/47 and Aromatisse got 103/97 which is in line with the 50/50 expectation. However, Aegislash got 37/63 which looks a lot closer to a 33%/67% split. So is Poison twice as likely against Steel types? Is this sufficient testing?
