Name origin

Hi all, I'd like to suggest the etymologies for Carmine's names in Japanese and English: Zeiyu (ゼイユ) comes from the French word "groseille" (katakana: グロゼイユ gurozeiyu), which means redcurrant. And of course carmine is a deep red colour pigment. I will discuss Kieran's etymology in his talk page as well. Cheers! --DecafSnorlax (talk) 06:15, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Age

Due to the school being essentially a unovan high school and carmine’s class being 3-2, it further confirms she’s a third year student, which puts her at around 16-17. Is that relevant enough to be added to the page, or should it stay the way it is? (apologies if this is formatted wrong, I’m on mobile right now.) StoneSlab (talk) 22:25, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Is it officially established that the Pokémon high school system works identically to those of the real world? If not, we cannot make that assumption. Dougbro1 (Talk) 00:13, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

On the contents of this article

I noticed while making some grammar fixes to Carmine's article that her "History" section is a bit too bloated (ex. when the article comes to her battle at the Crystal Pool, it goes on a tangent about encountering Sada/Turo there and the Milotic's tera type), there are a lot of screenshots of her, and a bunch of her cited references are in-game quotes. Compare that to articles of other characters, which are more concise and have little to none of that, at least in their history sections.
I want the quality of her article to be consistent with everyone else's, but it's going to take a lot of effort for me to just deal with that. Should I just add in the Cleanup template? SuguriSweet (talk) 04:45, 5 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
