Prior to [[HZ042]], Spinel led a select group of Explorers to create a tower on an island near Levincia. In [[HZ043]], Friede went to investigate the island after receiving information from Liko and Roy, and in the [[HZ044|following episode]], Friede met with Spinel, this time in person. During the confrontation, Spinel revealed that everything was just a trap created specifically for Friede and had a violent battle with his Umbreon against Friede and [[Captain Pikachu]].
