Should information about the Detective Pikachu film be added, or is this list only for anime films? Where would a live-action film go? --GoldenSandslash15 (talk) 08:51, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

: Thanks for reminding me of the problem there. Movies and films are the same things. How about renaming to Pokémon anime movie to avoid disambiguation? ::That's dependent on what the site's expectations for Pokémon movie articles should be. Personally, I disagree and think we should create a different section for live-action Pokémon movies. So far, we only have one live-action movie (which is produced by Hollywood) and we have only one more underway, but we can't predict the future so we don't know how production will end up. We also don't know how successful enough the sequel will be to warrant another live-action film. An article that solely focuses on live-action films will be painfully short. :The franchise is changing, and Pokémon movies are no exceptions. Maybe having movies that don't have characters in the main anime series it's apart of is part of that change. Besides, as been clarified to you already, the movies were released during the Sun and Moon series, so they are a part of that series. Regardless of the movies not being set in Alola or having the same characters.--<span style="color:#EBC600">F</span><span style="color:#EBC600">orce</span><span style="color:#D8B600">F</span><span style="color:#D8B600">ire</span> 05:14, 4 November 2019 (UTC)

::Well I know there are some words there but that actually did nothing. What would a reader think when they look at the template without browsing this article. "Oh that is a Sun and Moon scheme color so that should be a Sun and Moon movie but found out that never achieved, is it a scam?" So the words in this article never solve this problem. :::I doubt our audience pays attention to the color schemes of the movie templates. Plus, if they read the article headers, they'd know right away the movies are not set in the SM timeline at all. I can't imagine us being sued for misleading a reader in this way. You're over-exaggerating. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:00, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
