			The reason why they're not considered Gen 8 is because the new games in a Generation would have a brand new region, brand new Pokemon, brand new moves, characters, abilities etc. These games don't have that. Also, they would never be Gen 8 games with a limited Pokedex. They have also confirmed that Gen 8 main series games are Pokemon 2019, not these games.
