I know this section of the talk page is two or three years old now, but since nobody's pointed this out yet... it's extremely unlikely that "the original Japanese guidebook for Pokémon Red and Green" would have a mention of Nidorina/Nidoqueen's infertility in an "egg group trivia" section, considering that breeding and egg groups were features that weren't even introduced until Gold and Silver.  It's possible that some Japanese guidebook mentioned Nidorina/Nidoqueen being infertile at some point, but they're not going to be talking about egg groups in a Red/Green guide.
