:Having a turtle shell and a tail that ''may'' sort of be described as scaly just isn't enough, considering how little Chesnaught resembles any of the other many characteristics of the tarasque. [[User:Pumpkinking0192|Pumpkinking0192]] ([[User talk:Pumpkinking0192|talk]]) 20:59, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

== Tarasque ==
It isn't mentioned anywhere on its page but to me Chesnaught strongly resembles the Tarasque from French legend. The Tarasque was a mammal-like dragon with the face of a lion, the limbs of a bear, a thick tail and most telling of all a heavy spike-covered shell on its back. Given the strong resemblance and how Kalos is based on France I think it is worth mentioning in the Origin section of this Pokemon.
