:::::Back to the items, I figure if one is actually used in the manga, it's extremely likely that the item and/or its use was significant to the plot and is mentioned in the plot summary or major events anyway (see [[ET06]] as an example due to {{Ash}}'s use of a [[TM]]), so I think an additional section with a template similar to the one you showed me is a little unnecessary.
