Over 200 years ago, when Lon was still a little boy, he lived in the mansion together with his parents. Because of strange things happening to him inside the mansion, Lon asked his father to build him a room in the basement that no one else could enter. The strange phenomena kept happening however, and as such Lon's father hired a medium to conduct a purification. The medium gave them several charms to drive away ghosts. But when even that didn't help, Lon and his parents decided to leave the mansion. Lon would eventually return to the mansion and pass away at an older age, but his spirit kept on living in the mansion. The mansion later came to be known as the "Scary House" because the spirit of Lon tells scary stories to visitors and scares them together with a {{p|Gastly}}, a {{p|Haunter}} and a {{p|Gengar}}.
