Guys. Ampharos, to me at least, looks like it's based off small {{wp|ornithopod}} dinosaurs. It's bipedal and has a long tail and a similarly-shaped head. This also explains the dragon pun in the name, how it can learn Dragon Pulse, and Mega Ampharos's dragon-typing (because according to Pokemon, dragons = dinosaurs. ''cough'' Tyrantrum ''cough'').
