Look at Dento for a second!!! It makes all the sense in the world that he would be grass type! His hair and eyes and bowtie of his clothes are green! He owns a Yanappu, a PROVEN GRASS TYPE! You can't use Brock as your example because he was only following gym tradition. You can't use Jasmine and Amphy because she doesn't own Amphy. Amphy, if you haven't noticed, is an Electric type! Plus, Dento and Ash were battling in the preview, and Dento was with Yanappu and (I think) the grass type starter in the battle.
