Release information

This card was included in the Gym Challenge expansion, first released in the Japanese Challenge from the Darkness expansion. It was reprinted as a Reverse Holofoil Best of Game promotional card, given to those who participated in the BattleZone tournaments in June 2003. This print includes a gold "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork. A Non Holofoil Jumbo version of the card was also released.

Trivia

Psyburn is an attack that first appeared on Wizards Promo Mewtwo. This card was the first to have three attacks. Due to the extra space required for three attacks, the character art window is shorter in height than other cards.

Origin

Mewtwo was controlled by Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, for a brief time in the Pokémon anime.
