Rei Yamazaki
Rei Yamazaki (Japanese: 山崎玲愛 Yamazaki Rei) is an animator, illustrator, and character designer who has worked on the Pokémon series. She is one of the chief animation directors and the lead character designer for Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
Yamazaki began working on the Pokémon series as a key animator for Pokémon the Series: XY. She made her animation directorial debut on Rise and Shine, Starship! during Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. In addition to her work on the main Pokémon animated series, she also directed the first episode of Pokémon Evolutions, The Champion.
She is credited as Yamazaki Rei as an illustrator for the Trading Card Game. She illustrates exclusively for cards related to the animated series. Her first cards were the SVP Black Star Promos Sprigatito and Terapagos & Friends.
