Pokémon Pikachu Match'em Catch'em is a board game manufactured by Hasbro and Milton Bradley released in 1999. It is a Pokémon-branded version of the Milton Bradley board game, Monster Mash.[1] Players use suction-cup "thwacker" tools called "Thundershock bolts" to frantically snatch the correct Pikachu card that matches an image generated by a mechanical "mix-up machine".

Contents
A list of contents according to the provided instruction manual:[2]
- x1 Pikachu mix-up machine
- x1 Label sheet
- x4 Thundershock Bolts w/ suction cups
- x27 Cards ft. Pikachu
Instructions
ASSEMBLY
- Apply the small decorative labels to the front of the Pikachu mix-up machine, as shown in the package photo.
- Rinse and wipe dry all 4 thundershock bolt suction cups to remove any coating that could interfere with their performance
SETUP
- Place the Pikachu mix-up machine where everyone can see Pikachu spin.
- Spread out the cards Pikachu-side-up on the playing surface so none overlap.
- Everyone should be able to reach all the cards. Give a Thundershock bolt to each player.
OBJECT
To be the first player to catch 5 Pikachu cards! Push the button on the Pikachu mix-up machine and watch closely to see which Pikachu appears. Quick! Spot the card that matches the Pikachu on the machine. Whack it with your thundershock bolt and catch it!
GAMEPLAY
- Each player starts a round by pressing the top button on the mix-up machine. Play passes to the left.
- The youngest player starts the first round.
- When the machine stops, study the Pikachu that popped up. Then everyone uses their Thundershock bolts to "catch" the Pikachu on the card that matches the one on the machine. Whack it so the suction cup picks up the card.
- If more than one player whacks the correct Pikachu card, the player whose Thundershock bolt is on the bottom wins. This ends the round.
- But if you catch the wrong Pikachu... that doesn't exactly match the Pikachu on the machine -- put the wrong card back where it was. Everyone keeps playing.
- Keep your captured Pikachu cards in a line face up in front of you so everyone can see them.
THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE...
- If the machine spins and stops on a Pikachu that has already been captured, all players try to re-capture it from the player who caught it the first time! That player should whack the card to protect it... otherwise, whoever else whacks the card first takes it!
WINNER
The first player to catch 5 Pikachu cards wins![2]

Trivia
- The design of the "Pikachu mix-up machine" appears to be based on the telephone machines that appear in Pokémon the Series: The Beginning.[3]
