Release information
This card was included in the Sun & Moon expansion with artwork by Naoki Saito, first released in the Japanese Collection Sun. It was later reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil in the Japanese Sun & Moon subset. A SM Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Sun & Moon with different artwork by the same artist, available in the Sun & Moon Prerelease Kit. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing the event. In Japan, this print was released as one of the SM-P Promotional cards, available as part of a nine card promotional pack awarded to those who participated in the Pokémon Card Gym tournaments from the month of February 2017 through the month of April 2017. This card features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.
The Sun & Moon print was available again in Japan as another SM-P Promotional card, this time as part of the Sparkling Spring Festival Campaign, which began on March 18, 2017. Starting April 1, 2017, customers at participating Pokémon Centers (including the Pokémon Center Online) and Pokémon Stores who purchased five booster packs in one transaction were given a Pokémon Egg-shaped card containing 1 of 4 "Pikachu's Easter" promotional cards. This print features the "Pikachu's Easter" logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. The inclusion of Passimian ties in with the Pokémon Eggs available to download during the Sparkling Spring Festival Campaign. In Japan, the Sun & Moon print was reprinted again as a Mirror Holofoil in the GX Battle Boost subset, and as a Non Holofoil in the Fighting Lycanroc-GX Deck.
