Flavor text Generation VII Turns the ground into Misty Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation VIII Turns the ground into Misty Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation IX Turns the ground into Misty Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle.

Misty Surge (Japanese: ミストメイカー Mist Maker) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Tapu Fini. In Generation IX, it is the signature Ability of Galarian Weezing.

When a Pokémon with Misty Surge enters the battle, it creates the effect of the move Misty Terrain on the battlefield.

Outside of battle

Misty Surge has no effect outside of battle.
