Julian
Julian (Japanese: ジュリアン Julian) is the protagonist of My Gogoat Journey.
History
Julian is a boy who lives in Kalos with his father. He is Lucas's friend, but they had fallen out over an accident that happened some time ago. As they were racing to school on their roller skates, Lucas had to abruptly stop right after a turn to avoid crashing into a Budew, inadvertently causing Julian to fall and hurt his knee. Julian immediately lashed out at Lucas before understanding what had happened, but did not apologize for his outburst, and they awkwardly drifted apart.
In the present time, Julian seemed reluctant to go to school, possibly fearing having to see Lucas again. As he sat on some steps and watched the passersby, a Gogoat with an 'X'-shaped scar on its forehead appeared before him and nudged him to hop on its back, but Julian refused. It, however, insisted on it, hoisted him against his will, and carried him through the city, eventually stopping at the top of a building. Julian opened his heart to Gogoat and asked it to take him to fun places, avoiding to go to school, and the Mount Pokémon abided. As they were running through a park, an Oddish appeared right in front of them, causing Gogoat to suddenly stop and launch Julian forward. This incident, similar to the one that happened between him and Lucas, made him understand his friend's actions and realize he should apologize. Gogoat understood his feelings and led him to where Lucas was, at the friends' usual meeting spot, allowing them to finally resolve the situation. With their friendship finally mended, both of them shared a laugh just as the school bell rang and they shared a ride on Gogoat to avoid arriving too late.

This Gogoat, distinguishable by the 'X'-shaped scar on its forehead, is a Pokémon that Julian befriended. It appeared before Julian one day and, after insisting on taking him for a ride, carried him through the city. As they were running, an Oddish appeared in front of them, causing Gogoat to suddenly come to a halt and launch Julian forward. At that moment, Julian reminisced about an incident he had with his friend, Lucas, which made him realize he needed to apologize for having lashed out back then. Gogoat understood his feelings and took him to where Lucas was, allowing them to reconcile just as the school bell rang.
Gogoat's only known move is Vine Whip.
