Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Secret card in the Darkness Ablaze expansion, first released in the Japanese Infinity Zone expansion. Both prints feature artwork by 5ban Graphics. It was reprinted as one of the SWSH Black Star Promos with different artwork by the same artist and was available in the Eternatus VMAX Premium Collection from September 4, 2020. A Jumbo version was also included in the box. In Japan, this print was released as one of the S-P Promotional cards and was available as part of the Eternatus Challenge Campaign, which began on June 5, 2020 in tandem with the release of the Infinity Zone expansion. Customers who purchased an Infinity Zone booster box at participating stores nationwide received a Mini Card Box and a special pack containing one of five possible promotional cards. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted. The Pokémon Center Online was the only official store to hold the campaign—physical Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores were excluded, possibly as part of measures taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Japanese version of this print features the campaign logo on the right edge of the illustration. The Darkness Ablaze Regular print was reprinted in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset, as was a gold Full Art print, which also features artwork by 5ban Graphics.
