Elegant Flying-Type Pokémon (Japanese: 華麗なるひこうポケモン Elegant Flying-Type Pokémon) was a Trainer Files event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pair Falkner & Noctowl.

This event ran from February 5 to 19, 2024. It was focused on Falkner. The "Falkner Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Falkner & Noctowl for the duration of the event.

During this event, players could earn Event Vouchers I from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. Obtaining 3,000 vouchers would unlock the story area Inherited Techniques and Feelings. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.

The player could battle using Falkner & Noctowl to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Janine & Ariados to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and Janine & Crobat or any unlisted Flying sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.

Plot

Falkner and his Noctowl are training with Janine and her Ariados in the forest. Falkner detects Janine's ambush and knocks out her Ariados, to her dismay. Falkner brags about the special training his father put him through to make sure he was perfectly in sync with Noctowl and declares that his father is better than Janine's father, Koga. However, Janine protests that just because she lost doesn't mean her father did. Suddenly, two Team Rocket Grunts jump out of the bushes, having waited for the two Gym Leaders to tire themselves out from training before swooping in to steal their Pokémon. However, Falkner is still ready to go, and Janine sends out her Crobat to help him.

The Team Rocket Grunts manage to paralyze Falkner and Janine's Pokémon, and they're confident they'll be able to win. However, Janine uses her ninja techniques to knock out the Grunt's Electabuzz. When the other Grunt's Mismagius disappears, Janine heals Falkner's Noctowl so that Falkner can detect the invisible Mismagius and use Noctowl to knock it out. The grunts retreat, and Falkner thanks Janine for her help and acknowledges that Koga's techniques are amazing. Janine is taken aback by his sudden change of heart, but she's glad he appreciates her father now. She leaves, and Falkner looks up to the sky and silently asks his father to watch over him from above.
