This card was included in the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion with artwork by Yukiko Baba, first released in the Japanese Flight of Legends expansion. In Japan, it was released in the Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise Random Constructed Starter Decks on March 19, 2004.

Rulings

The card's name is mispelled as "Drowsee". The card received errata to be played as "Drowzee", the correct spelling of the Pokémon. Had the card been ruled "play as printed", one would be able to play four of these cards as well as four correctly-spelled Drowzee cards, the set's Hypno card (which has a similar error) would only be able to evolve from this card, and all other Hypno cards would be unable to evolve from this card.
