Draft:Pikachu's Power Line

Pikachu's Power Line is a puzzle in Pokémon Friends. It is the first puzzle that players are challenged with, serving as the tutorial for puzzle-solving.

Description

Connect all the bulbs with one line!

Gameplay

The player is presented with a grid featuring Pikachu surrounded by light bulbs. The goal is to draw a line starting from Pikachu that passes through all the light bulbs. Once all the light bulbs are connected, they all light up. In the mobile version of the game (or when using the Nintendo Switch version in handheld mode), the line can be drawn by tapping consecutive bulbs on the touch screen. In the Nintendo Switch version of the game, the line automatically starts at Pikachu, and pressing one of the left direction buttons—or using the Left Stick—will connect it to the light bulb in that direction.

If the player makes a mistake, they can retrace the line to undo their previous movement. Tapping a previously lit bulb will reset the line to that bulb. Alternatively, they can tap the Koffing icon in the top-right corner of the screen (also activated with the Plus button in the Nintendo Switch version) to reset the puzzle to its default state.

During the tutorial, only three grids need to be cleared to complete the puzzle. In subsequent plays, the puzzle is completed after five grids are cleared.

Clearing the tutorial puzzle always rewards the player with Sparky Yarn.
