Draft:Hyper Bolt (Shuffle skill)

Hyper Bolt ハイパーボルト
Hyper Bolt
Skill
Deals a lot more damage when things are looking desperate.

Hyper Bolt (Japanese: ハイパーボルト Hyper Bolt) is a skill in Pokémon Shuffle.

Activation

This skill activates only when the "moves" counter reads 3 or fewer in a move-based stage, or the time counter reads 00:10 (or 10 seconds) or fewer in a time-based stage.

  • In move-based stages, note that the counter decrements when the player makes a move, and the skill then checks the counter after this decrement. Threfore, the player effectively has 4 opportunities to use Hyper Bolt, when the move counter reads 3, 2, 1, or 0.
  • During the window, if an enemy disruption causes matches to occur, then it is possible for Hyper Bolt to trigger additional activations.
  • In time-based stages, it is possible to trigger Hyper Bolt several times by making a move, forcing the board to settle quickly, and making another move, all within the final 10 seconds of the stage.

Effect

When activated, this skill multiplies the damage of the initial match only.

Other damage multipliers, such as those based on match size, type matchups, or status conditions, are applied as usual. See Pokémon Shuffle → Damage for more details.

Skill level growth

Increasing skill level will increase the damage dealt by the initial match.
