Release information

This card was included in the English EX Deoxys expansion, originating as one of the Japanese PCG-P Promotional cards. In Japan, it was released as part of a Meiji Chocolate campaign in June 2004. An exclusive Cosmos Holofoil print of this card was included in the English Starcharge Theme Deck. A number of other English promotional variants of this card were subsequently released, the first of which came packaged with North American DVD copies of Destiny Deoxys in February 2005. This print has a foil stamp of the movie logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. The 2004-2005 Pokémon Organized Play season saw the introduction of Regional Championships, as well as the last of the short-lived Stadium Challenge events. A variant of this card was given to participants at both of these events, each featuring the respective event logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Another variant, available only in German, was given away at participating McDonald's restaurants in Germany leading up to the Pokémon Day 2005 events, held in several cities across the country between September 24 and October 9, 2005. The card distribution took place roughly 2 weeks before the Pokémon Day events at select McDonald's restaurants in the vicinity of the host locations. This print features a Pokémon Day stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork.
