Clean Up ☆ Team Star!
(Japanese: おかたづけ☆できまスター！ Clean Up ☆ Team Star!) was a Japanese-exclusive web minigame that was released to promote the opening of Pasio Academy in Pokémon Masters EX. It was first made available on March 21, 2025, and could exclusively be played on smartphones and tablets. It was discontinued sometime between March 31, 2025 and April 28, 2025.
Gameplay
The object of the game is to remove all the boxes stacked in piles on the screen before the timer runs out. The boxes come in different colors, and when the player selects four boxes of the same color, the boxes are removed and the player earns points. Players earn more points for clearing consecutive sets of boxes of the same color. The boxes are stacked in a four by two grid, and a button can be pressed to flip the stack of boxes so the opposite side is facing the player. The four boxes can be selected from either side of the stack. The boxes can be stacked higher than the player's view, however, and the player cannot select boxes that are more than six or seven boxes above the bottom. When all the boxes are cleared, a background is revealed, showcasing an interior area of the academy. Then, one of the bosses of Team Star will appear and say a few words to the player. The player can see their final score for the stage on this screen, with the game recording their 30 highest scores—regardless of the mode played—and the date each score was earned on a leaderboard that can be viewed from the main menu. If the player quits mid-game, Clavell or Giacomo will appear and say a few words.
The game features four different gameplay modes: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Endless.
Easy
Easy mode includes 3 different box colors. The colors are yellow, blue, and red. The player needs to clear 64 boxes. Mela speaks to the player after completing a stage in this mode. The player starts with 90 seconds to clear the stage. The stage background is the cafeteria.
Normal
Normal mode includes 4 different box colors. The colors are yellow, blue, red, and pink. The player needs to clear 100 boxes. Atticus speaks to the player after completing a stage in this mode. The player starts with 60 seconds to clear the stage. The stage background is the library.
Hard
Hard mode includes 5 different box colors. The colors are yellow, blue, red, pink, and white. The player needs to clear 240 boxes. Ortega speaks to the player after completing a stage in this mode. The player starts with 50 seconds to clear the stage. The stage background can be the cafeteria, the library, or the gymnasium.
Endless
Endless mode includes 6 different box colors. The colors are yellow, blue, red, pink, white, and black. Eri speaks to the player after completing a stage in this mode. The player starts with 50 seconds to clear the stage. The stage background can be the cafeteria, the library, or the gymnasium. The number of boxes the player has to clear starts at 64, but once all the boxes in a set have been cleared, 20 seconds are added to the timer and a new set of boxes appears that contains 12 more boxes.
